Raanan Katz Purchases North River Plaza in Pembroke, MA - RK CENTERS

Raanan Katz and his company RK Centers has finalized the purchase of North River Plaza.  According to Geoff Millerd at Therealreporter.com, they purchased the property for $37.3 Million. The property includes a great national and local tenant mix. The roster includes Kohl's, Stop & Shop, Staples, Olympia Sports, Dress Barn, Dollar Tree and more.

RK Centers Leasing Update - Raanan Katz Company.

The RK Centers leasing team had a strong performance during both the 2nd and 3rd quarters, completing deals totaling over 220,000 square feet.  Throughout RK's New England portfolio, sixteen new tenants were signed to new leases.  

At RK Centre in Weymouth alone, four deals were signed, headlined by National Wholesale which will anchor the center with a new 90,000 square foot store.   Itzaparty also signed a lease for 20,000 square feet.  The center was comprehensively renovated with a new façade, a new traffic signal, new pylon signs, and new LED parking lot lighting.

Another notable deal was in Hudson, MA at RK Hudson Towne Center.  The leasing team recruited Boost Fitness for the 24,000 square foot junior anchor position in this Hannaford anchored center.  Locally owned and operated, Boost Fitness is known for providing a clean and comfortable facility with great service at an outstanding value.   The Hudson location is their fifth club.

Finally, PetSmart executed a new lease for 7,000 square feet in Swansea, MA at RK Swansea Place.  The 201,000 square foot center is anchored by Target and Marshalls.

The strong effort by the leasing team enabled RK to continue to be active in the acquisitions market as well.  RK Centers acquired four properties over the 2nd and 3rd quarters totaling over $101 million.

(PRBuzz.com) April 15, 2013 -- RK Centers and Raanan Katz Miami Heat Owner are excited to welcome 2 new tenants to RK Plaza in Hooksett, NH. The leasing team at RK Centers has worked closely with the tenants to complete the 2 new leases totaling 14,000 SF for Comlax/Pure Hockey and 1,720 SF for Bargain Beds. RK Centers purchased the shopping center in 2007. The total square footage of the shopping center is about 150,000 square feet. The other tenants include a 94,500 SF K-Mart, Applebee's Restaurant, NH State Liquor Store, Dollar Tree, Nail Salon, Jade Garden Restaurant, Hooksett Laundry, and there are 2 spaces available 4,800 SF and 5,000 SF.
The 5,000 SF that is available is an out parcel building at the front of the shopping center. It has great exposure to Route 3 and can be re-developed for most uses. It is a great location for a Restaurant. There is a dedicated pylon sign with digital message board that can be used by the tenant. The other space available is 4,800 SF and is inline near K-Mart. it is 40' x 120' and can be delivered immediately.

Raanan Katz RK Swansea Place Information

As a Property Manager for 11 years I have seen alot of real estate and I think summarizing it is good info for people.

My first post will be to summarize a Newly renovated Raanan Katz owned center that is anchored by some great national tenants.

RK Swansea Place is located off Route 195 in southern Massachusetts. It was just about demolished and rebuilt after standing for over 30 years. The new shopping center includes a Target, Marshalls, Five Guys, Weight Watchers, Famous Footwear, Dots Clothing, Sleepy's Mattress, Radio Shack, Sally Beauty, HR Block, The Nut House, Crew Cuts, and a few other small stores. The gross leasable area was increased in the 2010 renovations to 201,000 SF. The property has been home to Kmart. Building 19, Seabra Market, and many others over the years. The new layout include a major safety feature A TRAFFIC light. This area of Route 6 has been a trouble spot for years and is not safer due to the due diligence of Raanan Katz and his company to advocate for the Stop light. The property upgrades also included new parking lot, lighting, traffic flow, landscaping, signage, pylon signs, septic upgrades, facades on remaining structures, and many many more upgrades.

Raanan Katz and his company purchased this property in late 2007 as part of a package of properties and 1 other property that was purchased at the same time. Raanan Katz saw the vision of the property and purchased Swansea Place in combination with RK Crossing located in Kingston, MA and RK Plaza in Taunton, MA. He also purchased a center in Weymouth, MA at the same but it was a separate deal. Raanan has since renovated the Taunton property extensively as well. It is now home to Papa Gino's, Burger King, Dollar Tree and Advance Auto Parts. Raanan made major exterior improvements and landscaping upgrades.
